Dr. William E. Richardson, MD is a: Medical Doctor, Naturopathic Doctor, Herbalist, Acupuncturist, Emergency Room Physician with over 30 years experience in integrative holistic medicine. The founder of American Clinics for Preventive Medicine the oldest established integrative medical clinic in the South. He is one of the pioneers of holistic medicine in the country. He has assisted tens of thousands of patients in the US and abroad to get the the “root causes ” of dis-ease and go on to prevent, stabilize and reverse chronic disease with the use of vegan nutrition, herbals, supplements, educations and the best of modern medicine. He has successfully talk patients how to be their “own doctor” and to not be depended on the medical establishment for healing. The power to heal is in the hands of the patient.

Dr Richardson was born in Pittsburgh, PA. His father, Dr. Roosevelt Richardson, MD – was the 2nd black doctor in Pittsburgh.

Truly Medicine is his ministry. When he was in high school his uncle was diagnosed with MS and treated himself with herbs and nutrition. This was his first exposure to herbs and nutrition as a healing modality. His uncle went on to live 30 plus years with the disease.

Dr Richardson graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Biochemistry; accepted into medical school during his junior year of college; Graduated from the Temple University Medical School; and received a Master of Public Health from the University of Alabama.

During medical school he became a vegan, studied yoga-meditation. It was at this time that he started his journey into herbalism. He was ostracized during his medical school and residency for recommending supplements to patients. Dr. Richardson, lives what he preaches. He follows a strict vegan diet and has the energy and vitality of a man 30 years his junior.

Dr Richardson is married for +30 years and the father of six children.
